INDIA - A SUBCONTINENT OF BEAUTIFUL CHAOS

India: you hate it or you love it. There is no way in between. Ask any other traveller and he or she will confirm it. But never ask a traveller who just returned: they will all say they hated it. They had enough. Never again. Which opinion might change after some weeks to one of the best travels they ever made!

What makes India so special? It's the people. India's 1.2 billion inhabitants are literally everywhere. If you want privacy, don't go to India. On the other hand, it's the people that make India so wonderful. Friendly, interesting, colourful; they are all that.

Although Marieke traveled to India already in the early nineties on a Royal Enfield, this chapter only includes our travels from November 2007 to Rajasthan and Delhi/Agra. Maybe in future we can include images from Marieke's earlier travels! For now you can read about places like Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. You can see images of the world famous camel market in Pushkar and the Taj Mahal in Agra. But you can also read our travel reports when we were eye to eye with the tigers of Ranthambore National Park. Just flip through the pages and find out for yourself.
